Alice the Airship likes to float up and down with the wind and take photos of the cities below. She has a photo album that she shows all her friends whenever they visit. Alice is full of helium which makes her very light, and when she speaks she has a very funny high-pitched voice.
Berry Blue Frozen Monster Lake
It’s a recipe from deep in the mountains of faraway Bluedonia! A meringue lake, surrounded by crispy monsters and filled with Berry Blue Jelly. Always a monster hit at parties.
Bertie the Aeroplane loves to fly with his friends and have lots of adventures. He fills his fuel tanks with extra Aeroplane Jelly to get the most out of his flying. Bertie always flies safely because that’s the most important thing.
Carrie the Cargo Plane likes to carry heavy loads and fly late at night across the country. Carrie sleeps during the day in her hanger and loves looking at all the lights from the homes below when she flies at night.
Chloe the Concorde likes to fly fast and sing her favourite Aeroplane jelly song as she goes. She very much likes to get the other planes to join in the singing. Chloe always seems to be looking on the bright side of life which her friends really appreciate.
Cindy the Cessna likes to fly with friends and land at small airports across the country. Cindy is very good friends with Flynn the Flying Doctor. They met at a dance near Bottlebrush Mountain and often see each other as the fly across the country.
Aeroplane Jelly Expands
In 1927 Bert Appleroth partnered with Albert Francis Lenertz to form a new company called Traders where they sold Aeroplane Jelly and many other household products. Three years later it was Lenertz who wrote the words and music to the famous Aeroplane Jelly jingle.
Aeroplane Jelly Beginnings
Taking off in 1927, tram driver Bert Appleroth first made jelly crystals in his bathtub and distributed them on his Sydney Tram route. So popular was his invention that Bert quit his job and began full time jelly production.
Apple and Raspberry Pie Trifle

Flynn the Flying Doctor likes to help people who are sick or injured and fly them to the hospital. Flynn is very good at lifting their spirits and getting them on their way to recovery in no time. He’s never short of a joke to keep things positive, even if his jokes are a little old.
Freddie the Fighter Jet likes to fly low and fast across the land leaving a cloud trail behind him. He will often write messages in the sky to his friends. Even though Freddie is a fighter Jet he hates fighting and is always there to settle a disagreement in a friendly manner.
Heidi the Helicopter likes to hover in the cities and key and keeps an eye out for traffic jams. She has very good eyesight and can even read the dog tag on the collar of a tiny dog. Heidi hates crowds and loves watching how busy it gets from her wide open sky.
Horatio the Hot Air Balloon likes to float in the sky keeping an eye out for air pockets. He is known as the ‘gentlemen of the skies’. He even wears a bow tie and says G’day to every one he passes over including the cows and birds.
I like Aeroplane Jelly
The Aeroplane Jelly jingle is said to be as well-known as the national anthem. 90 years later, it is still one of the most loved and catchiest jingles. Do you remember the words?
Jenny the Jumbo likes to fly families to all parts of the world for the holidays. Jenny loves listening to the stories of all the families as they prepare for their holiday. She’s been to 58 countries and collects postcards from all the cities which her passengers send her.
Jeremy the Jump Jet likes to jump up and down, and land in the smallest places. He doesn't believe in runways and usually lands next to them in the small carpark just because he can. Jeremy is very precise and likes to say ‘Perfect’ after making a precision landing.
Lenny the Lear Jet likes to fly really fast to get to his next business appointment. Lenny has carried very important businessmen and even Hollywood movie stars. Lenny is very professional and no one has ever seen him laugh.
Melody the Messenger Plane is one of Bertie’s best friends. She loves to sing the Aeroplane Jelly jingle as she carries messages for her friends. A cheerful plane, Melody flies through the sky towing messages about yummy Aeroplane Jelly. At the end of a musical day, Melody enjoys hanging with her friends in the clouds.

Remembering where it all started many years ago. The little girl you see swinging away was in fact Barbara Llewellyn who mimed the well known Aeroplane Jelly jingle sung by Joy King.
Prissy the Prop Plane likes to dance and fly around with Bertie the Aeroplane, who is one of her best friends. Prissy sometimes embarrasses Bertie when she tries to get him to dance. The other planes reckon that Prissy could even have a crush on Bertie but she’d never admit it.
Robbie the Rocket likes to blast out into space and discover new planets and start. Robbie believes that there may be friendly spacemen from other planet and is always keeping an eye out for them. If you look up to the moon at night you may see Robbie winking at you.
Sammy the Sea Plane likes to swim and fish and fly to tropical islands in the ocean. Sammy loves teasing the pelicans and swooping down onto the water when they aren’t looking. He has many fun fishing stories to tell but some of them may be a little too good to be true.
Spooky the Spy Plane likes to hide in the clouds and play hide and seek with the other Aeroplanes. Spooky has a habit of sneaking up behind the other planes and surprising them with a “Boo”. His engine is very quiet so no one can hear him coming.
Stanley the Stunt Plane likes to fly upside down doing stunts and aerobatics. Stanley is always trying to impress Heidi the Helicopter with new stunts. Stanley has a weak belly and sometimes does one too many spins.
Professor von Clueless likes to invent things but often gets himself into a muddle. His Wacky-Widget-Gidget-Midget-Machine which he made from things around his home is a modern day wonder. Because it’s a wonder it can ever get off the ground.
Toby the Tri-Plane loves to climb through the clouds with his 3 wings to lift him high in the sky. Toby has a habit of saying things in 3. ‘Hello, hello, hello’ he’ll say to his friends as he soars through the air doing his famous triple loop the loop.
So tropical you can almost feel the palm trees swaying. Original Cool Lime Jelly surrounds peach slices, while crushed pineapple is perfectly complemented with coconut cream and topped with almonds.
Wally the Water Bomber likes to help firefighters drop water bombs on bushfires. When he was a little Water Bomber a firefighter gave him a real fire hat and from that day his dream was to be a real firefighter.
Aeroplane Jelly with Whistling Boy
Tommy Dawes a finalist in a 1938 talent quest was discovered by Aeroplane Jelly's founder Bert Appleroth. So impressed was he that an image of Tommy whistling was created to illustrate the jelly packs and was used for over 40 years.
