Cindy the Cessna likes to fly with friends and land at small airports across the country. Cindy is very good friends with Flynn the Flying Doctor. They met at a dance near Bottlebrush Mountain and often see each other as the fly across the country.

In 1927 Bert Appleroth partnered with Albert Francis Lenertz to form a new company called Traders where they sold Aeroplane Jelly and many other household products. Three years later it was Lenertz who wrote the words and music to the famous Aeroplane Jelly jingle.

Aeroplane Jelly Beginnings
Taking off in 1927, tram driver Bert Appleroth first made jelly crystals in his bathtub and distributed them on his Sydney Tram route. So popular was his invention that Bert quit his job and began full time jelly production.

Spooky
Spooky the Spy Plane likes to hide in the clouds and play hide and seek with the other Aeroplanes. Spooky has a habit of sneaking up behind the other planes and surprising them with a “Boo”. His engine is very quiet so no one can hear him coming.


Stanley the Stunt Plane likes to fly upside down doing stunts and aerobatics. Stanley is always trying to impress Heidi the Helicopter with new stunts. Stanley has a weak belly and sometimes does one too many spins.

Tommy Dawes a finalist in a 1938 talent quest was discovered by Aeroplane Jelly's founder Bert Appleroth. So impressed was he that an image of Tommy whistling was created to illustrate the jelly packs and was used for over 40 years.
