Decorations

Nautical Vibes: Embrace the pool theme with nautical decorations. Think blue and white tablecloths, beach balls, and anchors. Hang a fishnet with seashells to add a splash of maritime charm.

Inflatable Paradise: Blow up a variety of colorful pool floats and inflatables and scatter them around the pool area. These make for great photo backdrops and provide endless entertainment for the kids.

Sun and Shade: Set up an umbrella or two for shaded relaxation spots. You could also use colorful beach towels and cushions as seating for your little guests.

Tropical Oasis: Add a touch of the tropics with fake palm leaves and leis. This can help transport your backyard into a paradise!

Activities and Games

Marco Polo: A classic pool game, Marco Polo is a must. Blindfold one child (the "seeker") and have them call out "Marco." The others (the "hiders") must respond with "Polo." The seeker must try to tag a hider based on their voice alone.

Beach Ball Races: A pool is an excellent place for races. Have the kids sit on a floating device (such as an inflatable dolphin or donut), and then, on "go," they race to the other side.

Water Balloon Toss: Fill some water balloons and have a friendly tossing competition. The catch: every successful catch means one step back. Last one standing wins! Treasure Hunt: Toss some waterproof toys (plastic coins or gemstones) into the pool. Give the kids a list of items to find. The child with the most treasures wins a prize!
